Primarily responsible for the effective oversight of all pharmacy operations, pharmacy business permitting and pharmacy operational licensures at the facility. Directly supervise the Pharmacy Manager and indirectly supervise all employees in the pharmacy department, including shipping. Set standards to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and rules pertinent to the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of drugs performed by all pharmacy personnel. Work with the Director of Pharmacy and Management Team in directing all pharmacy activities within the facility to ensure corporate objectives, programs and policies are implemented and followed. Responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, and to solve and resolve business related issues and oversee the pharmacy quality commitment program (QM) for our Florida store

Ensures that the pharmacy is practiced in a safe, lawful, ethical, and professional manner at all times, including, but not limited to, all aspects of prescription processing (from data entry to shipping/fulfillment/manifesting), regulatory/inspection requirements, record keeping, pharmacy security (including drug inventory security), holding pharmacists and technicians accountable for the professional quality of their work (peer review process for pharmacists) up to and including disciplinary action and termination of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians (within Human Resources guidelines), and professional licensure of the pharmacy, pharmacists and technicians.
