-Troubleshoot issues on Red Hat, UNIX, SGI, Windows and Sun servers and workstations.-Maintain and perform configuration updates on firewalls, routers, and switches.-Install drivers and peripherals, and update software on workstations and servers.-Maintain and restore communications circuits for on and offsite destinations.-Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain VoIP, STU, STE, and IST phones.-Brief daily status updates to affected personnel and managers, and coordinate downtime.-Document all troubleshooting and maintenance actions using Remedy and master station logs.-Create and refine procedures for mission essential tasks and develop best practices.-Run, terminate, and test Cat5 and fiber cables for new assets and asset relocation.-Coordinate keying material changes on cryptographic items, and maintain COMSEC logs.-Isolated hardware failures and initiate parts replacements and installations.-Created network maps for over 50 network circuit paths using Microsoft Visio.-Monitor network activity using HP OpenView (BTO), WhatsUp Gold, and Wireshark.-Trained new personnel, ensuring they could properly handle 80% of calls by the end of day one.-Quick thinking and direction during a transformer failure directly led to the site maintaining the mission without interruption.
