Served as a principal advisor to the Commanding General, Adjutant General, and Deputy Commanding General – Air of the District of Columbia National Guard. Responsible for developing and coordinating all programs, policies, and strategic plans to ensure both the wartime and domestic / Capitol response readiness of more than 1,200 members of the District of Columbia Air National Guard. Coordinated with Air and Army National Guard senior leadership on joint programs and activities within the district. Oversaw the development, execution, and evaluation of programs and policies pertaining to the command, control, operation and management of the District of Columbia Air National Guard.

Commanded an Air National Guard squadron responsible for providing world-class combat and community support by delivering superior personnel, training, manpower, morale, welfare, and recreation services to the 1,200+ person 113th Wing. Squadron was also responsible for providing disaster and fatality recovery capabilities to FEMA Region III.

201st Airlift Squadron: Assisted the commander by leading strategic planning for a 200-person organization. Led all change management and process improvement initiatives, authored internal and external strategic communications, and represented the commander and the organization at the headquarters and joint staff.

201st Operations Support Flight: Served as daily commander (commander was a part-time employee) of a seven department operations support organization responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of high-level VIP flights for high priority, senior government and military officials. Responsibilities included training, intelligence, mission planning, mission following, airfield management, tactics, aircrew life support, and aircrew records. Managed all operational, staffing, and human resource matters for all personnel.

201st Airlift Squadron: Directed training organization of six to ensure that 60 aircrew members were trained to required levels of performance and proficiency to conduct the organization’s VIP airlift mission. Authored syllabi and established training policies for all flight crew-members.

201st Airlift Squadron: Managed the acquisition and sustainment of new aircraft systems and mission support items as the internal manager of the $23.4M C-38A VIP airlift program; enhanced safety by identifying deficiencies and initiating action to correct them. Led flight compliance efforts, ensuring operators were executing the organization’s primary mission in accordance with written standards.

201st Airlift Squadron: Managed the utilization of $233M+ in aircraft assets and 80 flight crew-members while coordinating the daily actions of six departments in order to execute the safe transport of the U.S. government’s civilian and military leadership. Simultaneously led a 30-member department and all associated facets of it.
