    The North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic (NSLAC) is nonprofit with a mission to provide accessible, quality, equitable, free legal services in the areas of domestic violence, housing, and immigration to give low-income, at-risk community members access to justice and the opportunity to live productive and secure lives.Launched in 2015, the organization has grown rapidly in recent years. Today, the team delivers services with a staff of 45, including 24 licensed attorneys and social workers in each practice area. NSLAC opened more than 2,400 cases in 2023 and will celebrate its 10,000th case opened in 2024. All services are provided at no cost to clients in need. The resources supporting operations are derived from charitable sources including grants, donations, and special events. In 2024, these sources totaled a $4.2 million operating budget.
