Developed a roadmap to improve their data pipeline that will allow them to prepare their environment for the next level of scale. NGN Project (Client: UC San Diego): • Completed the initial scope of self-service reporting within the first two months, four months ahead of schedule.• Introduced data profiling via Pandas as a core tool to improve team understanding of data quality and integrity.• Conducted data quality, structure, and integration process reviews and identified multiple critical data issues early in the project. I lead the only civic tech volunteer group in San Francisco that has no application process. We accept everyone, and develop community and tech leaders from non-traditional backgrounds. We have over 7000 in our immediate network, and onboard 10-20 new members weekly, all looking to learn, grow, and commit improving our communities. • Developed partnerships with city and community organizations, with which our volunteers built apps to support public health via exercise, better dispatch for ambulances, the first dashboard of bay area COVID statistics, a mentorship program for local youth, and more.• Following transition to remote-only during COVID, Increased membership 22%, recruited over 500 new members.• Coordinated a series of events in partnership with community organizations to bring awareness and use data science and technology to address technical challenges in housing, food, homelessness, transportation, and other local issues.• Implemented a custom CRM to measure and track engagement for purposes of DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) as well as A/B testing for new engagement strategies (using Python / Pandas).
