The inner mechanisms of the employee benefit marketplace can seem opaque to many employers. My passion is working with clients to de-mystify the benefits-cost ‘black box’ that exists in the industry. Integrity and transparency are my core values, and I draw on these qualities to help my clients gain a clear understanding of the benefits management landscape.As the Senior Benefits Consultant at Horizon Financial Group, I combine three decades of experience and deep industry knowledge to enable clients to deliver their benefits promise to employees on a cost-conscious basis. I have extensive expertise in analysis, planning and negotiation, and use these skills to support my clients in optimizing their benefits program. Through aggressive financial analysis and constant plan design evaluation, I provide clarity on an organization’s benefits costs. Prior to my current role, I was engaged at leading brokers HUB International (formerly The Benefits Company, Inc.), PBL Insurance Limited, and Mercer Human Resource Consulting. In these positions, I developed superior client services skills and expertise in building tailored benefit plans that save people time and reduce costs. Clients shouldn’t have to worry about whether they have the best deal. As their fiduciary, I act on their behalf as a trusted advisor to manage the pricing of their programs. I quantify what the pricing should be, where the company is situated at period’s end, and what the difference is on an annualized basis. Using extensive claims analysis, I assist clients in envisioning the road ahead.
