With over 12 years of research experience in both academic and industry settings, I am a classically trained human physiologist with a passion for data science. Over the past few years, I have actively pursued and honed my data analytics skills through hands-on experience and formal education, including my current pursuit of a graduate degree in Data Science at the University of Pittsburgh. My interdisciplinary expertise allows me to effectively translate scientific evidence into actionable solutions that improve health outcomes.As a Principal Scientist at Medifast, I serve as the subject matter expert in obesity clinical care, health outcomes research, and healthcare policy. In this role, I advance our medically supported weight loss program by developing real-world evidence-based research, clinical care protocols, education, training, communication, and benefit messaging.I use R and Python to perform data analysis, statistical modeling, and visualization, enabling data-driven insights and informed decision making.My scholarly work has yielded over 60 peer-reviewed articles, 100+ conference presentations, and secured $250,000+ in grants.
