I have been involved in doing professional and freelance graphic/website design for over seventeen years and have a great passion for design and digital arts. I completed my Masters’ degree in Communications & Digital Multimedia from Saginaw Valley State University in 2007.Currently, I am the Coordinator of Graphic Design (lead designer/college administrator) at Mid Michigan Community College. I work with the Director of Marketing and the VP of Student & Community Relations to design and oversee all the graphic design/visual communications-related projects, part-time designers & Interns, and to establish and manage the graphic standards for the college. I also personally create & design: Websites, ads, flyers, billboards, magazines, printed materials, t-shirts, posters, signage, and interactive media projects for our internal and external audiences.I have also been teaching as an Adjunct Instructor at Saginaw Valley State University in their Communication & Digital Media graduate program, since 2008 (until 2015). Course topics include: Flash Animation, ActionScript programming, Website Design (XHMTL & CSS Coding), Information Design, Intro to Multimedia, Graphic Design & Layout, Flash Game Design, and various advisements for Independent studies and final Capstone projects.Design, technology, learning, storytelling, and sharing knowledge are my passions, and I would love to combine them into one fulfilling career -- To work, teach and share my knowledge and experience, and also to pursue both professional and personal creative projects.
