Gregory Haile, J.D., currently holds two senior fellowships. He is a senior fellow at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government at the Harvard Kennedy School. There he extends his expertise at the intersection of economic mobility, our nation’s workforce needs, generative AI, and national security. He is also a senior fellow at Achieving the Dream, where he guides ATD and its network colleges in using AI ethically and to help drive equitable access to AI related learning and careers, preventing the opportunity divide that might otherwise transpire and meeting the workforce needs of the tight labor market. He also serves as the Deputy Chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He is the first educator to serve as Deputy Chair of the Atlanta Fed in approximately 70 years. He further chairs the Bank’s Audit and Operational Risk Committee. Haile recently served on the U.S.- EU Talent for Growth Task Force; Co-chaired by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce and the U.S. Secretary of State, the task force brought together 6 American leaders from business, labor, and education to collaborate with counterparts from the European Union to build on existing initiatives from both sides of the Atlantic and to exchange best practices, serving as a catalyst for advancing human capital. He is also on the boards of BBX Capital, the Everglades Foundation, and Poetry in America.As alluded to, Haile previously served as the seventh president of Broward College, with nearly 55,000 students and 4000 employees. While President, he was recognized as one of the top five community college CEOs in the nation by the American Association of Community Colleges, and he led the college to a top ten ranking (from more than 1000 colleges) by the Aspen Institute at every eligible year under his tenure. His leadership garnered the largest grant and the largest gift in the College's history. Haile has held up to 60 speaking engagements per year on topics relating to education, the economy, and leadership. He is an exemplar for setting and operationalizing a transformative vision at scale with measurable returns. Haile has 20+ years of board experience, has chaired 15+ boards, and has chaired audit, governance, and finance committees. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, YPO, and the Orange Bowl Committee. He also teaches a summer course on higher education law and policy at Harvard. Twice, the U.S. Flag was raised above the Capitol to honor Haile. He has won over 50 awards, and has been ranked among Florida's 500 Most Influential Business Leaders.
