• Coordinated with crew members to test emergency and lifesaving equipment such as lifeboats and bilge alarms every week, achieving a 100% pass rate in safety tests conducted by U.S. Coast Guard and ABS.

• Standing watch and managing several underclass to monitor the ship's equipment and machinery while at sea or in port.
• Completed practical training courses covering 3-phase motors, motor controllers, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), instrumentation, automation, and transformers.
• Received a Dedicated Engineer Award for doing work after normal working hours.

Saipan, Guam, And South Korea

• Performed and assisted various duties with the ship's licensed and unlicensed engineers included: distilled water production, monitoring the ship's plant with the Duty Engineer, discharging greywater and sewage, and.
• Exposed to and observed processes for inspections and maintenance of the GE LM2500 gas turbine.

• Followed startup and shutdown procedures for the main propulsion engines under the licensed engineers supervision included steering gear, emergency generator, and EOT tests.
• Observed and performed with tests of emergency functions for ventilation during a fire and high bilge alarms.
• Took inventory of all the lube oil aboard the ship and performed tests of lube oil samples from various machinery.

• Perform the duties as a wiper aboard the Training Ship Golden Bear and assisted the Licensed Watch Engineers and 1st Class in various shipboard duties.
• Completed practical training courses, learning about the operations of diesel engines and various auxiliary systems such as boilers, purifiers, refrigerators, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
