• Temporary position: performed Quality Engineering duties as assigned by Quality Manager

• Performed quality engineering functions for Fortune 50 company’s aerospace overhaul/repair facility with as many as 250 employees and $135 million in annual revenue. Conducted internal ISO9100/AS9100 audits, participated in certification audits and performed various customer, government and company audits to ensure compliance with quality standards. Efforts were instrumental to facility’s maintaining certification for 6 consecutive years.• Successfully completed ISO lead auditor training course and assumed responsibility for managing internal audit process. Directed the activity of 20 individuals in the completion of 20-40 audits annually. All audits were performed to specification and in a timely manner, ensuring successful re-certification of facility.• Responsible for tracking from 200-1,000 pieces of military equipment and tooling that was continually moving through the facility. Conducted audits and accurately tracked and reported on equipment valued at $800,000-$1.4 million each quarter. No discrepancies between actual and reported inventories were recorded throughout a 14-year period.• Issued corrective action requests to suppliers for discrepant materials or parts. Monitored the status of responses to ensure that suppliers addressed problems in a timely manner. Efforts were critical to maintaining a high standard of quality from the facility’s 700-800 suppliers.• Performed audits of suppliers and potential suppliers. Verified that quality systems complied with applicable ISO9000 and military standards (MIL-I-45208). As a result, dozens of suppliers were added to the approved suppliers’ list.• Active member of the Clean Line Process Action Team. This group reviewed existing specifications and usage of chemicals for cleaning of aluminum and stainless steel parts. Developed recommendations and procedures that reduced chemical costs by 10% and contributed heavily to a 5% increase in profits.(See attached resume for complete list.)
