I am legal counsel for Northrop Grumman's international transactions. I have negotiated and advised on numerous Direct Commercial Sales agreements with government and commercial customers as well as international joint ventures and teaming arrangements. I work across all Northrop Grumman business sectors and functions to achieve enterprise-wide goals in challenging international markets. I am responsible for the continued development and international implementation of Northrop Grumman compliance policies and procedures. I am regularly involved in hotline complaints and internal investigations that concern the businesses I support. I have experience hiring, managing, and working with legal counsel throughout the world.Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, I was a Partner in the Corporate Department at Baker Botts L.L.P. In 2009, I was appointed to launch a new office for the firm in Abu Dhabi, UAE and served the Partner in Charge of the Abu Dhabi office from 2009 through 2014.For nearly 20 years in private practice, I represented domestic and foreign companies in a broad range of transactions, including stock and asset deals, securities issuances, joint ventures, corporate formation and governance, offset arrangements, and venture financing. I also advised companies on compliance matters arising from U.S. and foreign regulations that apply to their international operations, including the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and antiboycott regulations, as well as sanctions and export regimes. My clients included companies in a variety of industries including oil and gas exploration and production, alternative energy, defense and aerospace, information technology, tourism, aircraft sales and airport services, and manufacturing.
