Working without supervision allows me to plan and schedule my own agenda and handle my Uber career like a small business owner. I also engage in a marketing campaign that includes handing out fliers at bus stops and other common locations where individuals rely on public transportation, talking to bar owners and entertainment venues where alcoholic beverages are served and giving them my personal promo code that gives new riders a one-time free ride to a location of their choice within a $20 fare. By displaying a hard-working, mature and professional demeanor with clients I am building a stronger, kinder community with positive social interactions. Show less -

Daily responsibilities were to make between 50-150 cold calls to individuals to determine whether or not they qualified for research studies that all different types of companies such as Maytag, Centrum, Frito-Lay, etc. and private banks requested to be performed by Baltimore Research. The individuals that we contacted were pulled from extremely large databases that could be separated based on very specific demographic information, and part of my job was to analyze the data and determine what potential candidates that I had contact information for I would be contacting that day that could be potential qualified participants. My job was to determine whether or not the individuals I called qualified by asking them a series of questions on a survey that were asked in a particular order so that people that were familiar with the research studies couldn’t just give the answers we were looking for. The survey could be very basic and 10-20 questions and was for a simple study that had a small stipend for participating, and others could be very difficult that could comprise of 50-100+ questions that had a much larger payout for qualified individuals. Also, email campaigns were used to contact individuals that I was solely responsible for creating and sending. After qualifying for the research studies, qualified participants were invited to a predetermined location on the campus to participate in whatever the study was that Baltimore Research created in order to get the information and research the hiring companies were looking for. I conducted direct marketing and sales to area businesses on a daily basis, normally through scheduled appointments. Also, I provided Business Solutions Division (BSD) clients with new and up-to-date product information pertaining specifically to satisfy clients’ product supply demands based on area volume and pricing. I developed and maintained strong partnerships with new and existing customers through visits on scheduled appointment days. While I visited clients, I would provide consulting services to assess the "pains" that the business was experiencing using Solution Selling techniques, allowing for the introduction of new products and services that Office Depot was offering. I utilized Office Depot's Customer Relationship Management tool, Salesforce.com, to ensure that all eligible accounts were not neglected, existing businesses that were already being managed by another Office Depot Account Manager were not called on by myself or another manager on my team, and to help locate new potential accounts to acquire. I was responsible for managing the client services for six (6) retail stores by performing weekly visits to territory retail locations, offering incentives to retail employees for acquiring a target number of potential new accounts, and coaching retail management teams on specific BSD client procurement strategies to assist in BSD client acquisition and order processing.Initially I was hired as a retail associate in the computer department of the Annapolis, MD store. While working at the retail location, I was required to sell, repair, set-up and install computers and software in both residential and commercial locations. Show less
