On the last 2 projects, installed the OS, tracked the systems deployed in CA Service Desk inventory module, and documented the process to hand off to steady state support. One project was deploying Windows 7 32-bit and the second was deploying Windows 7 64-bit with engineering applications. Designed and documented the core desktop/laptop installation process. Interfaced with IT and affiliate groups working projects that would impact the end user experience. In addition to the project work, steady state tasks included:*Subject Matter Expert for evaluating new PC hardware to verify it would fulfill the business unit's requirements and was compatible for integration into the environment. Maintained the PC Hardware Technical Set. The PC Hardware Technical Set tracked all approved hardware that requires drivers to operate and is widely deployed. This list included ergonomic hardware. *Implementation Coordinator for the upstream affiliates for the Windows XP SP 2 deployment. Responsibilities included all adjustments/tweaks needed to maintain functionality of the affiliate’s mission critical applications. Coordinated with affiliate testers and developers to identify and resolve any issues prior to the upgrade being implemented. Scheduled deployment to beta testers and general users. *Technical adviser for PC/laptop systems road map committee. The committee consisted of ExxonMobil affiliates and Dell representatives. The road map committee made recommendations for standard PC desktop and laptop configurations to meet the majority of business needs for the affiliates. Also determined a set of upgrades to meet the business requirements for special projects. *Desktop Architect - Updated the Microsoft Windows XP installation process to include new PC hardware, Microsoft updates, hardware driver updates and any changes and/or updates to the core applications maintained in that standard load. Updated documentation to identify the updates and noted any process changes required by implementation teams.*Worked with vendors to ensure approved hardware would have world wide availability and certified additional hardware for regions when necessary.

Upgraded the Novell and Microsoft Mail to Microsoft NT4 and Exchange servers. Designed and implemented the backup system and rotation using Cheyenne Arcserve.Supervised on-site support contractors for Weatherford-Enterra. Setting the standards and procedures used for installation of new PC hardware and software.Completed all administrative tasks for the NT network. Created new users, set up access groups, set access rights on server based information, set up new email accounts and set up systems for exchanging information with vendors.
