Responsible for all corporate legal and compliance services for a third party administrator of individual, employer-sponsored small group, short-term health insurance and limited benefit health insurance and dental insurance, including:-Negotiating, drafting and reviewing all types of agreements;-Managing all company litigation, including negotiating settlements supervising outside counsel; -Coordinating the company’s licensing and license renewal functions; -Responding to regulatory, attorney, health care provider and consumer inquiries;-Providing general employment law advice;-Developing and managing the trademark and intellectual property portfolio for the company, its parent company and affiliates;-Participating in insurance coverage decisions including consulting to the company’s appeal committee, rescission committee and claims department; and-Coordinating the interpretation and implementation of new federal and state regulatory requirements and serving as the company’s Privacy Officer.
