- Special Weapons And Tactics – SWAT Operator: Deployment for high-risk drug search warrants, arrest warrants, barricaded subjects, riots, political events, dignitary protection including President and Vice President of the United States detail. Participate as one of the Unit Snipers providing overwatch and reconnaissance during operations. Held positions of increasing responsibility during search warrants from Point Man, to Breacher, to assistant Team Leader. Act as Specialist for chemical and less lethal munitions providing critical options during operations.- Unit Training Cadre Instructor: Senior member of Unit Training Cadre. Setup and facilitate routine Unit trainings which included topics such as Unit tactics, firearms, equipment deployment, and communications. Initiate and act as single point of contact with outside agencies to advance Unit’s tactics and equipment including Federal Bureau of Investigation SWAT, Los Angeles Police Department SWAT, City of Columbus SWAT, and City of Cleveland SWAT. Assess current equipment and usage with vendors and suppliers to ensure the best options for the Unit are being utilized. Work with area corporations and schools to coordinate scenario-based training at respective facilities including University of Toledo, Toledo Public Schools, Jeep, and ProMedica. Lead firearms instructor providing instruction and rigorous testing on all tactical weapons in Unit inventory. Participate in review and selection process for Basic SWAT School candidates. Instruct potential Basic SWAT School candidates on topics such as mindset, team movements, tactics, and firearms.

Earned rank of Team Leader in December 2009 through selection of my peers due to my commitment and leadership during operations.- Unit Instructor: Setup and facilitate routine Unit trainings which included topics such as Unit tactics, firearms, equipment deployment, and communications. Coordinate training for Multi-Jurisdictional Team that included seven area agencies. Assess current equipment and usage with vendors and suppliers to ensure the best options for the Unit are being utilized. Work with area corporations and schools to coordinate scenario-based training at respective facilities including Bowling Green State University, schools within Wood County, and numerous local businesses. Firearms instructor providing instruction and rigorous testing on all tactical weapons in Unit inventory. Participate in review and selection process for Wood County, OH Sheriff’s Office Tactical Operations and Basic SWAT School candidates. Instruct potential Basic SWAT School candidates on topics such as mindset, team movements, tactics, and firearms.
