Architected a practical yet sufficient Middleware/User Interface subsystem that required only 2.5 staff in comparison to similar subsystems in the field taking 10 or more staff, thereby freeing up resources for other efforts when budgets were extremely limited. The company was sold to Sophos, Plc.

Object oriented business tier design and development in C++ and Active Directory. Initial employee of a startup venture marketing distributed network configuration. Developed a patentable "mini-GUID" algorithm as well as a XPath like query language for LDAP based stores. The company was re-incorporated as ENDFORCE, Inc. Developed a unique solution to a mission-critical problem involving unexpected behavior of Active Directory, TCP/IP active connections, and stateless servers, avoiding a major setback in the introduction of the product. Designed a key component of a remote connection management application generating over $4mil per year. The component included user interface support as well as a "fire-hose" data feed. The data feed had to adapt to constantly changing customer requirements well into the project cycle (agile programming approach) and scale to a massive level while imposing ACID database behavior on a non-transaction datastore (Active Directory).

Temporary position teaching high school AP Computer Science, Introduction to Programming, and basic keyboarding by taking a long-term sub position after the year had started. Enjoyed the experience and the students were great. The classroom experience ranged from students with highly developed math and computer skills to students with behavior and moderate learning difficulties. While being essentially thrown into the fray with minimal education training, I learned to adapt and my second semester was a vast improvement over the first semester. Since my Ohio license was only temporary, I left to pursue the startup opportunity at SmartPipes, Inc.
