Production Manager
Current• Work in conjunction with Purchasing Manager to create and maintain master schedule.• Generate lead times and ship dates for parts, service, and machine orders.• Develop and schedule plant workers individual assignments.• Continually evolve the master schedule with respect to customer’s changing needs and part and labor availability.• Daily processing of all parts and service sales orders.• Planned processing of all chamber orders and special projects in conjunction with Purchasing Manager and engineering department.• Controlling the workflow of the shipping department by timely distribution of sales orders and job orders.• Entry, processing and maintenance of all internal and sales reliant job orders into M2M.• Monitoring stock levels of active parts and restocking through proper channels upon reaching safety stock levels.• Continually using part history to aid in stocking decisions in an effort to control cost of inventory.• Entry and maintenance of standard and blanket purchase orders into M2M ERP System.• Expediting purchase orders when necessary to ensure timely delivery of parts and to maintain stock levels of blanketed items.• Negotiate price, lead time, shipping and stocking/distributing terms for all purchase orders to vendors or subcontractors.• Update and maintain BOMs and routers when necessary at the standard level or individual job level.• Identify and source parts through network of approved vendors, online resources, or industry connections.• Provide updates to sales with changing or static information about customer’s orders.• Work with sales to generate bi-weekly status report of all equipment orders for company’s largest distributor.• Work with sales and engineering to answer vendor related or technical questions about parts from customers.• Work with sales to help ensure the selection of the appropriate part for the customer’s needs through research in M2M ERP System.
