I'm a big fan of listening to other people's stories. When someone tells me a personal story, I learn a lot about what matters to them. And what matters to them, matters to me. We all have a story. Here is mine. I am a husband and father of two bright, boisterous young boys. As many of you know, raising children has its share of challenges. Now no one in the world knows this better than my parents who raised me and my 12 siblings, nine of whom were adopted (so Mom, if you're reading this... I'm not complaining!). It also has unparalleled rewards. Of all the things I have done in my life, having a family has absolutely been my most fulfilling accomplishment. I am also a proud military veteran. It was an honor getting commissioned from the United States Naval Academy and serving as a Navy Officer alongside some of the greatest people I have ever known. I have the utmost respect for military service members, and an appreciation for often unsung sacrifices made by their spouses and children. These families make up the backbone of our great nation, and it is my privilege to continue to serve them. As I was leaving the service years ago, I found myself in "uncharted waters." I was part stay-at-home dad, part MBA grad student and part reservist. After much soul-searching, perseverance and guidance from friends and mentors, I found my new calling and embarked on my amazing career as a financial advisor with Edward Jones. I understand how daunting life transitions can be - career change, loss of a loved one, divorce, relocation - but also the immense satisfaction of making it through to the other side. Life is a journey filled with challenges and rewards. I have passion and experience working with people through these moments, celebrating joyous milestones and being there when life happens. I love being a part of my clients' lives. I am not just a financial advisor to them; I am a friend they can rely on to help with their biggest decisions. And I make it my job each day to earn that trust. There are so many incredible people who have helped me in so many different ways. This is why I am so passionate about what I do.
