I was brought into a Human Capital Consulting & Employee Benefits company with a mission to grow their commercial P&C Practice. Several weeks in, I suggested the owner consider a pivot to Personal Lines (more in-line with their existing customer base, and mission statement) or sell the commercial practice entirely. They did so in January 2020; selling the commercial P&C business to ECBM. The experience was a huge success because of the exposure to Human Capital Consulting, specifically the work we did on Employee Engagement and Culture/Strategy Alignment. Working with C Level leadership teams; defining cultural goals and aligning them with strategic goals; in the most extreme cases, unpacking layers of organizational misalignment and dysfunction was very gratifying. Ultimately, this experience led me to believe I could successfully start my own practice (speaking, coaching, consulting) centered around my personal experiences with disruption over the past 25 years, and supported by the unique work history and professional certifications I've amassed over nearly two decades of professional experience.
