I laid the foundation of and instituted modern ITIL practices, standard operating procedures, and daily operations for a team that was largely unmanaged for over a decade. Evaluated architecture, data centers, and offices and redesigned a logical replacement which once consolidated saved over 4 million annually, improved our reliability, and prepared us for a growth future state. I led the team designated with license posture and implemented many controls to defend the company from unexpected costs from audits.

Initially, I was tasked with identifying and executing cost savings, security holes, and optimization projects. I rearchitected the Virtualization platform to maximize costs by optimizing licensing, reducing DC space from ~30 racks to 1 rack, closed and opened office space as needed, provided mail-enhanced security for a platform of more than 16 million users, performed product-based R&D for our customers, created cookie cutter environments to enhance our speed of deployment and ease of administration, and much more. Then my tasking changed, and I was used to develop and pioneer Apptix’s new MSP division. I redesigned the Support personnel, Operations teams, and documentation/services required to support the business change. Once that was completed, I was installed in various customer offices, performed optimization/migration services on an as-needed basis, and pivoted Apptix from being a mail provider to a successful MSP.
