Between 2021 and 2022, I consolidated the adoption of scrum in our organization, trained 3 scrums masters, 3 product owners. 2023 was the year of adoption of Safe (Scaled AGILE framework). I could observe improvements in terms of visibility, productivity and employee satisfaction.I consolidated more than 4 years of experience as JIRA administrator and CD/CI expert. I started the migration of complex application to Docker and Kubernetes. And still a principal C++ developer in the sustaining team of DIVA products.

After the acquisition #7 of DIVA products, I am pleased to continue the DIVA adventure at Telestream.

DIVA product line and all the engineering resources have been acquired by Ecodigital. My job duties remain the same: software research, development and architecture.I was firstly in charge of the migration of our devops migration (source code repository, continuous integration, build servers).I developed integrations with S3 based object storage when I was at Oracle. My first like AWS S3, Alibaba OSS, Cloudian, Scality, EMC ECS. The integration support all the major functionalities offered by S3 like multi-tier storage classes, multi-part uploads, bucket lifecycle policies, encryption...Also developed integrations with Microsoft Azure Blob Storage and Google Cloud Storage.As a scrum master, I successfully converted our development team to a scrum team. This was my most fruitful achievement o the year 2020.

Oracle acquired Front Porch Digital in 2014 and my position remained unchanged. More attention was made to software security. I developed encryption for some communication protocols with OpenSSL and implemented static and dynamic code analysis procedures.Developed integration with cloud infrastructures and Web services C++ clients with LibCurl.Designed and developed a unique peer to peer archive transfer protocol usingWAN acceleration software. The protocol is encrypted and optimized for high latency network links.

In addition to my development duties, I managed a team of engineers and established new quality insurance procedures with test automation tools and test tracking manager (test track pro). The team was located in the New Jersey and I worked remotely from Montreal (Canada). As a manager, I recruited talented engineers and developers. I also established new development procedures and migrated the source code to a new product life cycle platform, MKS. End to end trace-ability was now in place between source code, bugs and projects.Starting from 2008, I participated in the elaboration of a new archive format standard, AXF (http://www.openaxf.org). I developed the first AXF implementation on various storage devices (Tape, disk and optical drives). Developed integration with a new storage technology from SONY ODA (Optical Disk Archive).In 2012, our team became an AGILE team and my role as a manager became obsolete in such kind of organization. I could then more focus on development and strategic projects. As the organization changed, our product management tools changed too. We used RallyDev to manage our AGILE projects. I designed and built a new distributed build automation for our products based on GIT SCM, Jenkins and Maven. This build platform significantly improved build delays and reliability.

Developed the first video partial retrieval application that could extract partial video files on the fly from random access and sequential devices (tape drives). The first video format supported was GXF (with MJPEG and MPEG2 essence). Support for other formats has been added later like MXF, QuickTime, API...As the development operations of DIVArchive move from France to the New Jersey (United States), I endorsed the continuity of the library controller software and added support for new libraries from various vendors: StorageTek, HP, IBM, SONY PetaSite, Spectralogic...

I joined the genuine team that created DIVArchive, a content storage management software. My first project was to design and develop a fast data mover in C++ based on an existing one written in Java. This data mover can read/write data from/to many kind of devices or sources of files: Tape drive, optical drives, local and SMB disks, FTP servers, broadcast video servers (like Media stream servers, SeaChange, Tektronix PDR,...)I also developed an FTP client library that it still in use as of today.Technology in use: C++, multi-threaded client-server applications, Windows and Solaris platforms, sequential drives and libraries from various vendors (StorageTex, HP, SeaGate and IBM), DVD RAM optical drives, video servers.Product life cycle environment: Visual Source Safe SCM and PVCS bug tracking system.

Participated in the development of a news phone service. This service was using text to speech technology to transmit XML formatted news to users telephone.
