Gregory Shaggy ontdekte pas op zijn 18e zijn liefde en talent voor dans. Zijn eerste Hip Hop lessen in 2003 deden hem beseffen hoe groot zijn passie voor deze kunstvorm is en dat hij zijn leven hiermee wil invullen.Door intensief te trainen bij Amsterdamse pioneers en later een dansopleiding heeft Gregory Shaggy zich gespecialiseerd in Hip Hop, House, Breakdance, Poppin, Locking en Freestyle. Al snel wist hij diverse opdrachten binnen te slepen en kon hij aan de slag in de grootste discotheken, videoclips, TV- en theatershows, musicals, optredens voor artiesten, waar hij niet alleen als uitvoerend danser, maar ook als choreograaf werd geboekt. Op internationaal gebied reisde hij hiervoor af naar onder andere Taiwan, Jordanië, Suriname, Duitsland, Engeland en Frankrijk.Inmiddels is Gregory Shaggy al een aantal jaar aan het werk als choreograaf. Tijdens zijn dansopleiding aan het ROCvA verbreedde hij zijn stijl en kennis door ervaring op te doen in andere stijlen, zoals klassiek ballet, jazz en moderne dans. Daarnaast is hij meerdere keren afgereisd naar Amerika, om in Los Angeles les te krijgen van de grootste namen in de danswereld. Ook heeft hij deel uitgemaakt van nationale theaterproducties waaronder Tanjore Quartet en MDDance, en verzorgt hij workshops en shows door het hele land, zowel individueel als met zijn crew Furious Flow. Daarnaast is Shaggy ook een veelgevraagd jury-lid en host/MC voor battles wedstrijden, festivals en clubfeesten en vergroot zijn creativiteit door ook actief betrokken met conceptontwikkeling, productie van creatieve projecten en evenementen gefocust op specifieke dans/ algemene podiumkunsten en brede cultuurNaast de diverse werkzaamhedenen tellen wij volleerd docent erbij op. Momenteel geeft hij ook les aan de dansacademie Lucia Martha's. Voor diverse dansscholen heeft hij de coördinatie hip hop en artistieke leiding op zich genomen, hierbij komen curriculum, docenten, innovatie binnen het (dans)onderwijs aan bod.Gregory Shaggy streeft naar creatieve veelzijdigheid in dans, choreografie en creativiteit en deelt deze passie graag met andere mensen.
