Captain of a 1,800-ton ship tasked with law enforcement, search and rescue, and defense operations. Personally accountable for every aspect of the ship's maintenance and performance and for the safety of the 100-member crew. Conducted kinetic operations that resulted in interdicting ten vessels smuggling narcotics in the Eastern Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea. Led the ship through punishing conditions Cape Fear to become the first response asset on scene in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Florence. Won the 2018 United States Interdiction Coordinator Award recognizing the nation's premier maritime interdiction unit.

Achieved improvements in uptime by patterning across the enterprise and experimenting with industry-leading maintenance practices.
