As Valley Metro expands I am managing the implementation/enhancement of systems and software.• Currently serving as the IT Project Manager of the $1M Oracle Human Resources implementation. The implementation includes the core HR, benefits, performance management, on/off boarding and learn modules along with an interface to ADP.• Led the implementation of the “Alert Valley Metro” safety and security app for the Phoenix Metropolitan Light Rail system. The app allows riders to report issues and communicate with a centralized operations center. In the first 6 months Valley Metro has responded to over 2,000 reported incidents providing an additional level of safety and comfort of our riders.• Managed the agile migration of the VM Paratransit Operations system. The migration required the rapid development of a parallel intermediary system to enable the migration.

Contracted to American Express via Syntel, Inc.• Led a global team in the $1 million merchant collections software development project that reduced the time to establish merchants, automated merchant collections and simplified the financial reconciliation process.• Managed the data center installation of a Teradata physical infrastructure that created a stable state-of-the-art platform for big data analytics.• Provided end-to-end project management for the implementation of quarterly software solutions that ensured compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.• Coordinated LAN migration testing of servers that resulted in a smooth transition of software applications to American Express' new North Carolina data center.

Established one of the first Home Meal Assembly businesses in Phoenix, AZ.• Developed the business plan, established the company and led all aspects of the business including hiring, accounting, marketing, supply chain management and operations.• Created the marketing persona "Chef Jonathan" on Facebook that led to TV, Magazine, newspaper and local event appearances and resulted in a 20% increase in revenue.• Identified the need to differentiate, modified the business model and successfully guided the company through the rapid expansion and decline of the industry while 12 of 13 competing business locations closed.

• Led the agile development and implementation of the US Postal Service’s Intelligent Mail Barcode System for a leading rebate processor that made GPG one of the first to implement intelligent mail barcodes. • Interpreted USPS technical specifications and translated them to the IT staff for software development.

Managed the IT operations and application systems support for a $2.5 billion provider of financial services and the 40th fastest growing company in the U.S. Responsible for 60 staff members and a $10 million budget.• Developed the project plan and managed the $6 million IT implementation that designed, built and established Metris’ Data Center in less than 11 months. Recruited and led a team of 35 IT professionals including data center, network, telecommunications and desktop support personnel.• Established the IT Service Management (ITSM) principles as the foundation for creating the information services processes, resulting in the auditors from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) recognizing the data center as one of the best they had audited.• Led the consolidation of production application systems and systems administration functions (Unix servers, AS400s, & mainframe) to the Metris Data Center creating savings of over $1 million annually.

Managed the North American IT operations of the world’s largest outdoor power equipment manufacturer for 6 manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Mexico with 40 staff members and a $5 million budget.• Revitalized the information systems through software enhancements, technology upgrades and improved business processes, becoming one of only four Sears North American Quality certified suppliers.• Managed the implementation of the J. D. Edwards ERP system for the National Parts Distribution business that established a common system for the manufacturing and distribution divisions.

Responsible for information technology and business process engineering for the $250 million Custom Manufacturing Services business unit of Lucent Technologies with a $3 million budget and 25 staff members supporting two facilities.• Member of the planned management buyout of the Custom Manufacturing Services business unit.• Redesigned the information systems, streamlined IT operations, and eliminated custom software. The restructuring reduced software expenses by 25% and fixed labor costs by 40%.• Implemented Software as a Service (SaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) through IBM Global Solutions that established a stable infrastructure, established the capability to support rapid business growth and resulted in a 25% reduction in support costs.

Led a team of subject matter experts representing the Manufacturing, Accounting, and Supply Chain Management organizations. The team created and improved business processes and information systems for the Custom Manufacturing Services and Government Manufacturing business units.• Partnered with the materials engineer and the information systems team to develop a facility-wide wireless material handling system that improved inventory accuracy from <90% to >98%.• Member of the ISO Lead Team that attained ISO certification in 6 months and earned an Honor Roll award from the Malcolm Baldrige based NC Quality Leadership program.

Selected as the Information Systems expert on the 12-person design team responsible for creating the AT&T Custom Manufacturing Services (CMS) business unit and facility for high-tech electronics manufacturing. • Designed business processes to establish the new CMS unit by working with functional experts from each organization and as liaison to the IT team that successfully implemented all necessary information systems.• Proposed an integrated MRP/Procurement/AP system and acquired executive-level approval to develop the system that saved over $1 million/year and garnered my promotion to lead the business process improvement team.

Developed C++ software test procedures for AT&T Bell Laboratories and performed integration/build testing of the Army’s P-3 anti-submarine warfare avionics system.

Performed systems analysis/design, and software development (COBOL, Assembler and IMS DBMS) of the division’s material management systems. Selected as the IT leader on the team tasked with implementing AT&T’s first on-line MRP-II system for government manufacturing.
