My career in biomechanics has enabled me to help some of the world's top athletes get that extra 4% in thier performance, or even better (from my point of view) prevent a career-ending injury to occur. But it's not just about the high-performance athletes, I also have been lucky enough to train people from all walks of life, from pregnant mums-to-be, to keen octogenerian golfers wanting to keep their handicap. My mission is to bring biomechanical training into the mainstream, to stop the haphazard approach to training that I often see resulting in injury and instead encourage all people to include smarter, scientific thought into their movement patterns. You may hear me every few weeks on Radio Sport, talking about biomechanics and taking calls from the public, interested in how greater biomechanical knowledge can alleviate their pain or get them greater performance. I am also a regular contributer to Endurance Sport magazine and am often asked to comment on the sports injuries of high-profile athletes by reporters from a range of mass-media publications such as the Sunday Star Times and New Zealand Herald.Specialties: I particulary enjoy and specialise in cycling, running, triathlon, multisport, kayaking, golf, tennis, ironman.
