He was a Professor of Systems Engineering in the Department of Systems Engineering at the United States Military Academy at West Point from 1999 to 2013. In 2011-2012 he was a Distinguished Visiting Professor in the Department of Management at the United States Air Force Academy. He co-authored the Handbook of Decision Analysis in the Wiles OR/MS Handbook series, Wiley & Sons, 2013. He co-edited Decision Making for Systems Engineering and Management, 2nd Ed., Wiley Series in Systems Engineering, Wiley & Sons Inc., 2011, and has published over 100 papers and book chapters. He is a senior principal with Innovative Decisions Inc., a leading decision and risk analysis firm.Specialties: Decision and risk analysis, systems engineering, operations research, and systems engineering.
