I have spent over 20 years in IT supporting users by building positive relationships with them through thoughtful communication. Much of my success can be attributed to hard work and tenacity, but in addition to that, the teams that I have worked with have been key. Whether it’s getting additional support from team members or taking the extra time to offer my support to them, team collaboration is imperative. Throughout my years working in IT, I have always enjoyed scripting and developing applications to automate the tasks that keep things running smoothly. I started scripting with PowerShell and have been extremely interested in development ever since. As I move forward in my career, I have transitioned my scripting abilities to software development. For that reason, I am certified in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React through Scrimba. I am proud of my progression which you can view through my GitHub profile. In addition to my career in IT, I like to spend my time volunteering for the Humane Society. I recently answered a call to help a Humane Society in Kentucky after tornados left many pets stranded and homeless. Whether it’s pets or people, it is my belief that the most successful people are compassionate and eager to help where needed. Building relationships is the foundation of a great home life and a great work life.
