Picking the perfect Board Advisory Member (my advice as CEO):During my time as CEO of Passkey International, I was responsible for board expansion initiatives. To enrich and inform our understanding of how SaaS solutions could optimize the worldwide travel industry, I invited former executives from Starwood Hotels, SecureWorks, and Host Marriott to serve as board members. Their contributions supplied invaluable insights, guidance, and direction into how and when technology intersects with traditional best practices. Their combined strategic and international expertise was the catalyst that supported me in driving turnaround and recovery, resulting in the growth of a loss-making company to that of a global entity managing USD 7+ billion in transactions. What I bring as Non-Executive Director:Now, with many years of experience both as CEO and Board Member, I bring a matrix of skills and insights gained in the industries that have been at the forefront of change, innovation, and disruption – i.e., Tech and Travel. I have influenced how clients plan, book, and experience their journeys and have been responsible for the tactical roll out and messaging that has advanced profitability and growth. Whether advising on organizational structure, private equity, venture capital, or mergers and acquisitions, I have a proven track record of successfully guiding strategy and supporting CEOs. Future Challenges for CEOs, Boards and Advisors:Trends indicate that additional responsibilities and areas of focus are emerging, most prominently driving long-term value, horizon scanning, and scenario planning. Add to that the possibilities and threats inherent in Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Robotics, and Automation on the digital front alone. Then there are the megatrends—the rise of emerging markets, demographic uncertainties around an aging population, and an increase in global pandemics and wars. It becomes obvious that we are headed into unchartered waters, where leaders will have to navigate unexpected developments at every turn. I thrive in aligning strategy with these challenges and look forward to continuing on this trajectory, adding to my portfolio of Board and Advisory positions. Areas of Expertise:Corporate Development▪Market Analysis▪Revenue & Profit Optimization ▪Software as a Service (SaaS)▪Private Equity & VC▪Management Consulting▪Sales & Business Development▪International Expansion▪Transformative Growth
