Management of a FRSAN/USDA grant funding for the development of a mental health and wellness program for the Commonwealth's farmers and the community that supports them.Direction of Qualitative and Quantitative research to identify existing mental health and wellness challenges, resources being accessed, the new resources required and how the ag community would prefer the services are provided.Identification of existing resources for the underserved agricultural community members and development of a strategy to expand and deliver the resources to the Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AAPI), Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+ Community, Veteran Farmers, Women Farmers, and Young and Beginning Farmers to ensure equal access.Trained over 200 farmers, state and USDA staff on listening to learn skills, de-escalating confrontational situations, understanding a farmer's challenges and how to refer to resources.Development of a 14 volunteer member, statewide Peer Support NetworkCreation of a Peer Support Toolkit to assist the peer support network leaders to better manage conversations with a peer, and have a collection of resources to provide the farmer or their supporter to address their mental health and wellness challenge.Coordination of a 20 member Partner Organization Network which was trained in peer support methodologies and provided a collection of Partner Organization mental health and wellness resources to support their membership.Formulation and writing of all Grant reporting to FRSAN/USDA on quarterly basis and final report with findings and recommendations.
