Based in Shanghai, Greg is Chairman of APSCA, the business association for payments and identity applications in Asia, from secure smart chip-based applications to the latest digital security approaches. He manages the other APSCA offices in India and Taiwan and travels extensively around the region to promote business opportunities to APSCA members in the smart card, secure chip and smart device business. He has spoken at over 180 conferences, including more than 160 APSCA events, held in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, India, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and UK. APSCA offers an unparalleled opportunity for corporations and government organisations, including smart card scheme operators and suppliers, to network, collect business intelligence, share news and views and promote new ideas, products and applications in the Asian market. APSCA is focused on the commercial and technical aspects of smart cards and smart devices, and encourages organisations to examine the business case and financial considerations of smart card schemes, as well as technical issues. Since 1997, APSCA has assisted government smart card projects, national card payment policies and produced increased business for APSCA members.

Greg is President of ID4Africa, a movement to promote the responsible adoption of modern digital identity systems as drivers of socio-economic development in Africa. A central component of the ID4Africa movement is the annual meeting which allows the movement to define the agenda year after year and to achieve the stated objectives. This annual meeting is a forum and expo focused on digital identity and its applications for driving socio-economic development in Africa. It is held each year in a different African country that will act as a host for the event and it reunites, under one place, four key stakeholder groups in the identity space: identity authorities and users in African countries, international development agencies, leading identity solution providers, domain experts. Greg works with the Chairman and Treasurer of ID4Africa to further the ID4Africa movement and develop the annual ID4Africa meeting and its objectives.
