My role is to educate clients on the process, and on- and off-market opportunities, and lending options; bring in vendors and resources to help with every phase of a sale, search, or purchase; provide important economic and demographic information to assist in their decision-making; and create as smooth an experience as possible.

In consultative discussions, I helped employees of non-profit institutions understand and maximize their workplace retirement savings plans, and helped former employees of those companies understand their retirement savings distribution options.

Manchester, New Hampshire

I bought and sold rare and antiquarian books, prints, maps, and ephemera, in the areas of exploration and travel, history, fine printing through the ages, illustrated books, fine bindings, and Americana, although in the strictest sense I was a generalist. My focus was on the sixteenth through nineteenth centuries, thought I handled fifteenth-century material and avant garde modern items as well. This was a full-time occupation from 1996 through 2007, at which point I scaled it back to a part-time vocation and, more recently, an avocation.In addition to my own business, I was active in the trade in promoting bookselling as a profession and book-collecting as a pursuit. I served as the secretary of the New Hampshire Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association for four years and vice-president of the New England chapter of the Antiquarian Bookseller’s Association of American for one year, as well as serving on the Public Relations committee of the ABAA.

I was responsible for ensuring complete coverage of the output of over a hundred publishers and their imprints, bringing in sufficient quantity to meet 90-day demand. I also served as a General Liaison to two e-book aggregators, ebrary and EBL, tracking issues and involving the appropriate departments from each company in troubleshooting projects.
