► Responsible for two and four-stroke engine development in handheld consumer lawn and garden equipment, including homogeneous charge and stratified charge two stroke engines.► Component design including die castings, powdered metal, injection molded plastics, machined and stamped metal parts utilizing Catia V5 design software.► Engine calibration including ignition map and carburetion utilizing dynamometer, emissions and combustion analysis testing.► Design and analysis of 4-stroke engine hybrid valve train to improve performance utilizing GPB 4stHEAD and Catia V5 kinematics software.► Designed proprietary 4-stroke engine crankcase breather system to allow all position use. ► Generated cost reduction and engine durability improvements providing nearly $3M / year cost savings.

► Headed project to certify motorcycles for export to Europe. ► Responsible for complete motorcycle configuration including engine, chassis, electrical systems, and all compliance requirements.► Required use of Pro Engineer to perform motorcycle design changes and fabrication of components and testing devices to comply with European Union (EU) standards. ► Worked directly with TUV Rheinland Luxemburg certifying body at various locations. ► Managed and Prepared 92/61 Whole Vehicle Type Approval documents. ► Conducted performance testing, including maximum speed, noise compliance, braking tests, engine dynamometer testing, exhaust emissions, EMI/EMC testing.► Received European Union Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) on four Titan model motorcycles, December 1999.

► Collaborated with customer to design $1.2M batch-plating machine for IBM in Rochester, Minnesota to plate computer hard disk drives with nickel. ► Created machine design using AutoCAD and Mechanical Desktop, including structural weldment, plumbing, mechanical hoists, and both plastic and metal constructed chemical tanks. ► Responsible for specification of raw materials and purchased components. ► Managed layout, planning, and implementation to new facility.

► Developed two-stroke engine assemblies for personal watercraft in professional competition and recreational use for domestic and international clients (including National and World Champions Chris Fischetti, Jeff Pruier, Jason Shultz, Mike Yellich, Kevin Hutchings, and Ben James III). ► Specialized in custom built, press fit 2 and 3 cylinder stroker crankshaft assemblies, custom cylinder porting, port mapping, cylinder boring and sleeving, combustion chamber design and modifications, piston selection and modifications, crankcase modifications, carburetor modifications, mechanical and electronic fuel injection tuning, and dynamometer testing. ► Custom engine configurations included Kawasaki, Yamaha, Sea-Doo, and Polaris engines ranging from 785cc up to 1300cc.► Designed 27cc case reed induction two-stroke hobby engine for small scooters, bicycles, and go-cart applications
