As a Systems Analyst I undertake IT related activities to solve specific business needs. These cover most phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, technical specifications, development, testing, implementation, training and support. I enjoy being part of a team and can communicate at a level appropriate to business and technical staff.My focus is in the Financial Services sector but I have also previously worked in Surveying / Engineering Design. My experience covers a range project types:• Software development• Data migration• Package customisation and implementationMy recent achievements include:• Implementation of a third party messaging application to integrate with external funds for electronic rollovers. Challenges included familiarisation with new concepts around cloud computing and electronic messaging, strict data security requirements, working cooperatively with local and interstate technical specialists.• Development of a member based business intelligence application replacing an existing in-house application. Challenges included the need to come up to speed with business intelligence concepts and the Microsoft SQL Server suite, an existing application which lacked traditional documentation and managing expectations under tight budget constraints.• Customisation and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. My focus was data integration across multiple legacy applications and technologies. This required analysis of existing interfaces and specification of new interfaces where necessary.• Large scale data migration between two superannuation packages. The migration leveraged the package’s import capabilities but required significant data transformation / cleansing and stringent reconciliation reporting.These achievements demonstrate a keenness to learn, an adaptability and willingness to persist and an ability to overcome challenges through cooperative consultation to meet the desired outcome.
