MY CAREER STARTED EARLY. As an eight year old, I was obsessed with drawing logos. Looking back, I believe what held my fascination was the power of design to provide brands, products—or anything for that matter—legitimacy and relevancy. While my instincts for design and business were established early, it was having to navigate a cognitive-speech disorder that gave shape to my interest in how human beings communicate, learn and relate. In 2000, I acquired Anno Domini, an established design firm rechristened Aegis, as a platform to explore more human-centred and relational models for brand and institutional communications.Aegis is a strategy and design firm whose practice is grounded in social science. We help companies, NGOs, healthcare and education institutions attain purposeful market leadership through relational, cultural brand building.
