I have had the benefits of spending over 35 years in commercial real estate. The book made me realize that as much as I enjoyed the corporate world, I had skills and talents that would be able to transform other groups outside the corporate world. When the opportunity came to redefine the operations group at our Church, I saw this as a calling. We are in fact redefining our operations group. We have made significant staffing changes, outsourced our Janitorial services, created new ways to be more efficient, and found new processes and procedures. We have also made changes to our physical facilities (including a new Auditorium under construction), and sustainability projects like new boiler and LED lighting. The dollars saved will be used to further our missions group or grow our facilities or other needs for the sake of others. Show less

Motorola Solutions: Oversaw all Facilities Management operations and contacts with Client at America’s regional level in coordination with other services lines on the account. Responsible for the operations, staffing and capital projects for Facilities Management of account that included 106 sites in 30 states and nine countries and encompassed 5,600,000 square feet.Baxter Healthcare: Administered all Baxter Facilities Management and Project Management operations. Responsible for the operations, budgeting and capital projects for Corporate Headquarters and main manufacturing site in US, as well as 65 BioLife sites in 24 States totaling approximately 3,100,000 square feet.Allstate Insurance: Supervise all personnel on account and Allstate Facilities Management and Capital Projects, develop cost-savings initiatives and all interactions with client at local and regional level.
