Responsible for timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting for VT Insurance and its subsidiaries. This includes internal and external financial statements on a GAAP basis, with two subsidiary companies also reported on a statutory STAT basis.• Responsible for consolidation activities and preparing elimination schedule for affiliated entities. Created Microsoft Access database to calculate the deferred revenues to be reported in consolidation.• Review all quarterly and annual financial statements and premium tax returns for the two insurance companies licensed in all 50 states.• Manage assistant controller and three staff accountants in their day-to-day activities.
