Analyzed patent applications for compliance with formal requirements and technological accuracy; determined grounds for rejections, or determined how claims distinguished over prior art. Resolved issues of patentability directly with attorneys. Developed new patent classification schedules and modified existing classification schedules, reviewed the assignment of disputed patent applications from the Examining Corps, and reclassified U.S. patents, foreign patents, and non-patent literature. Developed a training manual for new patent examiners on the topic of patent classification.

Supervised up to 30 support and testing personnel during the testing of heavy weapon systems and ammunition. Provided direct customer support to test sponsors. Planned tests to ensure safety and efficiency during testing operations. Submitted cost estimates to cover the costs of test conduct, materials, data analysis, etc. Managed test funding during program execution. Compiled and presented all pertinent data in test reports.
