Accountable for business intelligence and analytics across all of Geisinger’s business domains to including the clinical enterprise, Geisinger Health Plan, Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, and all operational and administrative towers. Part of this role is enabling the new Geisinger Data Informatics Center of Excellence (COE), pulling together 100+ business intelligence and analytics personnel to create a coordinated and high-performance analytics function.

• Play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) development and Enterprise Analytics center of excellence.• Primary accountability for leading and developing the analytical BI application team.• Develop, continuously improve and enforce departmental policies and procedures to ensure the mission of the EDW and Enterprise center or excellence is met.• Oversee a development group, support group and PMO efforts following a software development lifecycle (SDLC) to build out the EDW and analytic assets such as reports and dashboards.• Provides input on technology selections for the EDW, visualization/reporting tools, change control, project tracking, communication, business glossaries/metadata dictionaries, analytic inventories and any other software/hardware that impacts the services provided.• Ensures all projects are properly tracking issues and risks and help to resolve or escalate these as appropriate.• Meets with business stakeholders to understand their needs and help identify or improve ideas for future analytics.• Represent analytics to data governance and information management oversight committees as the organization continues to push for better data quality and standardization.• Accountable to communicate and market the EDW capabilities to the organization and deliver appropriate training opportunities through User Group meetings and routine training sessions.• Meet with leadership at all levels to learn the direction of the organization or department and communicate project status.• Stays informed on developments in the healthcare industry and analytics offerings and participate in networking and educational events/conferences• Works with IT leadership to understand reporting needs and oversees activities to deliver appropriate solutions.• Manages a team of resources and is responsible for ensuring adequate resources are allocated based on project requirements.
