Internship within a joint-venture project that sought to construct a large CSO Tank next to the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn, NY. This internship allowed me to experience the day to day life within the field as well as got me to become more comfortable with being on a live construction site. I also got a taste of what kind of work I would be doing. Throughout the internship I developed a sewer repair submittal, reviewed CCTV sewer footage to monitor for damage, utilized rebar shop and contract drawings to determine picking channel elevations on rebar cages, helped organize and log soil manifests and concrete tickets, determined elevations of lateral bracings for a CSO Tank, organized time sheets, finalized, logged, and submitted submittals, and photo documented the site.

Throughout the internship I got OSHA and HAZWOPER certified, finalized, submitted and logged submittals, created parking passes for on site personal, tracked progress of pouring, forming, and stripping guide wall, sound monitored around the outskirts of the site, and calculated the volume of elevation sections where VOCs were recorded.
