I led studios for two courses -- Anatomy of Buildings and Construction of Buildings -- during the academic years of 2014-2015 and 2015-2016. Each semester, I taught 18-22 students the fundamentals of construction, details, AutoCAD, 3D modeling, and BIM in a studio setting.

When I started at this 3-4 person firm, I was thrown in the deep end and I experienced nearly every area of practice besides stamping drawings and signing contracts. My responsibilities ranged from responding to RFPs, to producing construction documents for small renovations, to helping predesign and program a non-profit school in Kashmir, India.

My first job in an architecture firm arrived early in my life -- before I even graduated high school in fact. The internship focused on an employee housing project for the town of Frisco, Colorado. The unbuilt residential design uses innovative building techniques and materials such as recycled shipping containers and a green roof.
