Plans, directs, and coordinates scheduled activities of designated projects to ensure that goals and objectives of their assigned projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties. Reviews project scope and schedules to determine time frame, resources, funding limitations, and procedures for completing project on time with the Director of Operations and Engineering.Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other or other outside agencies such as ISO, NAMI, and Florida Building Product Approval, [NOA]. Coordinates with Field Superintendent to establish a work plan and manpower forecast and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel and allotment of available resources for each phase of the project.Directs and coordinates activities of project schedule with the Job Foreman to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget. Also coordinates with Foreman to outline work plan, review project specification requirements, responsibilities, and scope of authority and to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.Reviews Plans, Specifications, Takeoffs, Quotations and Proposals prepared by the Estimating and modify schedules or plans as required; all revisions to original proposal/contract are communicated back to Sales Department. Responsible to prepare project reports for management, general contractor, or others.Reviews Vendor Quotations based on Bill of Materials/Takeoff provided by Engineering and issues work orders with relevant back-up documentation to Purchasing to order products. Requests job cost reports to compare budgets versus actual costs for each project.Responsible to initiate Transmittal for submittals and shop drawings and maintains communications with the contractor using standardized forms.

Open and close fabrication shop. Check on material and parts. Review cut list. Responsible for planning, assigning and directing shop employees as well as appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Standing Member of the safety committee. Have a good knowledge of the glass business, from the field to the office. Had the ability to coordinate multiple projects and be able to develop ideas to enhance or upgrade manufacturing in order to improve production. Be able to work with management on issues that arise to keep the shop operating efficiently. Work with the Engineering Department and Project Managers to keep projects on schedule. Made sure all equipment is maintained to prevent downtime. Teach workers in the proper techniques for using machinery. Interpret Shop Manuals for each project and delegate tasks accordingly. Ensure quality control procedures are in place.Responsible to maintain a safe operation per OSHA requirements.
