A new work to be published by Sasquatch Books (distributed by Random House) April 2016 on the 75th anniversary of Woody Guthrie's employment with the Bonneville Power Administration in Portland, Oregon. A hardcover non-fiction book with over 90 vintage photographs and time-period posters telling the story of Guthrie's one-month employment with the federal government in 1941, writing folk songs for the New Deal’s Columbia River projects promoting public power, irrigation, and land reclamation centered around the construction of the Grand Coulee Dam. Experience includes:• Writing of non-fiction book• Research conducted at The Woody Guthrie Center in Tulsa, OK; the BPA Library in Portland, Oregon; The Bureau Of Land Reclamation in Grand Coulee, WA; and on-line resources such as Library Of Congress, and The Ralph Rinzler Archive at the Smithsonian Institute. • Licensing and Acquisition of original Song Manuscripts to be used as photos• Permissions and Acquisitions of private photographs from individuals, families, archives, and collectors. • Conducted over 20 interviews with primary subjects, secondary sources, experts, collectors, and other writers of Guthrie work.• Commissioning of original artwork by Drew Christie to be used on the inside flap.• Overall responsibility for overall book lay-out, cover, and design.

Pendarvis Farm, Happy Valley, Oregon

Conceived and coordinate Lucky Barn interviewer stage. Interviewers host performing artists on stage in front of a live audience over the length of a three-day festival. Introduced the DJ element to the festival by coordinating and booking 35 vinyl-spinning DJs to perform over three days on five stages resulting in a highly-curated and extremely popular experience for the festival goer. Pickathon is a nationally recognized independent music and camping festival which has become the model for sustainable outdoor music festivals.
