Social Entrepreneur Corps brings university students, budding social entrepreneurs, and corporate teams on experiential learning programs and consultancies to Guatemala, Ecuador, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic to work side by side with in-country partners. We now offer virtual and hybrid programs in Guatemala. We've led experiences for over 2,500 participants since inception through partnerships with organizations such as The College of William and Mary, Colorado College, Columbia University, Cornell University, Deloitte, Duke University, Franklin and Marshall College, Georgetown University, University of Indiana, Miami University, New York University, Northwestern University, University of Connecticut, University of Maryland, University of Notre Dame, University of Oregon, University of South Carolina, and Warby Parker

Led overall start up, strategy, design, execution and revenue generation for operations in Guatemala , Ecuador, Nicaragua, The Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Mexico Created the MicroConsignment Model, a social innovation that empowers local, first-time micro entrepreneurs with the opportunity to profitably offer previously inaccessible and essential products and services over the “last mile." These products include improved cook stoves, reading glasses, solar lamps, and water filters, amongst others. Created local social enterprise (Soluciones Comunitarias) which has empowered 500+ primarily women entrepreneurs to reach 3,000+ remote communities, sell 150,000+ products and generate $12 million+ in measurable net economic impact.

Small Business Development Volunteer in Nebaj, GuatemalaPeace Corps Assignments - Advised local Chamber of Commerce, opened and managed first internet center opened in the region by USAID, and designed and taught business “best practices” for a women’s village banking organization. Personal Initiative - Designed, funded, opened and managed five local tourism businesses (El Descanso) to create new jobs and bring new revenues into the community. Designed, funded and opened first ever after-school center, lending library, investigation and computer center in Nebaj (Centro Explorativo). This continues to expand under local leadership.
