Responsibilities included troubleshooting project issues, contract management, resource management, analysis to monitor delivery effectiveness and to suggest efficiencies.August 2020 - August 2021 Project Manager/Scrum masterLed the development and implementation of a multi million dollar project to automate the processing for Risk Share Pool (Facility) functionality for a large Property and Casualty carrier in the Canadian marketplace. A fully cross functional team of up to 20 team members in a fully Agile development approach. The solution was designed using Spark/Scala and delivered in progressive phases by province. Responsible for scope management, project plans, agile oversight, team management, budgeting, project reporting and forecasting. Organized and led steering presentations and main liaison with the project sponsor.

Led application delivery teams for all policy and broker applications inside a matrix model leading a team of delivery managers/directors and application developers. Focus was on the development of the new applications and the migration of the existing business to the new platform. Converted existing Atlantic business to newly-developed administration platform that introduced improved product offerings; the program (120+ staff) was delivered on time, on budget with an extremely high level of quality, providing the business area the opportunity to expand product offerings in this region and improve profitability. Extended the use of Agile methodology using SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) for large-scale, integrated programs resulting in predictable timelines and budgets. As part of an organization-wide process review, worked as a change champion to simplify delivery processes and create efficiencies; the result was a common set of approaches across all of IT. As part of the leadership team, led the migration of target applications from the old Dominion of Canada, Toronto-based data centre to the enterprise infrastructure platform in the US, which improved processing times and capabilities and substantial cost savings. Leveraged Travelers’ global resource model to reduce costs and increase capacity

Promoted to hire and manage team of AVPs and managers (90+ staff) responsible for application delivery, testing competency, business analysis competency, project control office and shared services. Oversaw the program to migrate the largest block of business to the new target applications, including implementation of Guidewire’s BillingCenter.  Championed the introduction of Agile methodology for the policy development stream improve delivery effectiveness.
