I am a metocean specialist with over 30 years ICT, meteorological/oceanographic and NWP modelling experience, and 25 years senior management and CIO/CTO experience in technical management and leadership roles coordinating distributed forecasting groups and high-performance computing centres, to provide comprehensive IT leadership, metocean, technology and budgetary guidance, and long-term strategic business direction.My strong IT background encompasses a very broad range of technical skills, deep knowledge of metocean principles and standards, and is reinforced with a commercial background that includes business optimisation, resource planning/design, project management, information management, and strategic planning.My extensive experience has been developed over many years spent living and working in Perth, Melbourne, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the UAE, Europe, and the UK – where I have participated in and managed international, multi-disciplinary, and collaborative projects in diverse areas of defence, media, IT, weather forecasting, numerical modelling, energy, and infrastructure development.I am highly-skilled, adaptable, comfortable with a wide variety of roles, and enjoy pushing the boundaries of both established and new technologies to help organisations achieve their goals.
