Rosary Army was the first Catholic organization to ever use podcasting (we beat the Vatican by two weeks) and that lead to multiple other audio and video programs including That Catholic Show and more. RA has required every hat imaginable including web and graphic development, oversight of mobile app creation, audio and video production, evangelization and ongoing catechesis, and of course the making, praying, and giving away all-twine knotted Rosaries.

In addition to various leadership positions, I've authored several fiction and non-fiction works, written hundreds of newspaper, magazine, and online articles, and have created and sold countless paintings and illustrations of various styles. Responsible for the oversight of content, design and quality of all editorial materials (trade books, periodicals, parish products, audio and video resources) produced, purchased and distributed by Our Sunday Visitor's publishing operation. Provided direction of all editorial activity of the publishing operation for the company.

Denver, Colorado

Highly visible position with extensive project management, editorial oversight, and strategy focus encompassing multiple core functionalities overseeing team of 10 employees responsible for 3 key education areas (Evangelization and Catechesis, Marriage and Family Life, and Youth, Young Adult, and Campus Ministry) in supporting over 100 pastors at 140 parishes throughout northern Colorado. Identify key project needs and supervise creation and implementation of events, training, and printed resources to meet those needs. Supervise, produce, and edit content and programs (print, audio, video, in-person instruction, and conferences) in alignment with the vision of the Archbishop of Denver. Designed and developed full-scale audio and video recording studio and oversaw multiple productions, including Restored Order documentary and resources, full-scale Marriage Preparation guides, and other materials to assist parishes in forming intentional disciples and holy families.

Co-host of "The Catholics Next Door" with my wife, Jennifer. Developed, produced, and presented show content and hosted three-hours of daily talk radio (Monday through Friday) to an international audience. Responsible for developing relationships with Catholic media personnel and “becoming the expert” on multiple topics as the news cycle changed, identifying top news stories of the day from both Catholic and secular sources, and editorializing and presenting that content in engaging, entertaining, and educational ways to maximize audience interaction and involvement. Hosted live broadcasts from major events and conferences. Interviewed countless personalities including Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Newt Gingrich, Dion, Nathan Fillion, Julie Andrews, Kevin Bacon and hundreds more.

Concurrent to running Rosary Army/New Evangelizers, I was also a founding officer of this worldwide 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to creation and dissemination of new media productions (podcasts, video, online resources). Provided editorial oversight and managed multiple bloggers, podcasters, and content creators over several online networks in producing individual and collaborative efforts in new media and broke new ground through innovative video and audio programming and communities. Oversaw all development and fundraising efforts while adhering to government protocols for 501(c)3 organizations. Lead and managed Social Networking initiatives on multiple platforms. Produced, created, and hosted hundreds of audio and video programs with upwards of 7 million downloads.

With WaCA my focus was on project management, business analysis, and developing graphic user interfaces and requirement specification documentation for their internal and external ordering and product support applications. Facilitated meetings with internal customers and subject matter experts to gather business rules needed to create appealing and highly functional user interfaces that met all of the needs of the business. Documented all of the processes and system requirements for the multiple software systems developed by WaCA’s Information Technology group, which was then used by both developers and business owners in making business and marketing related decisions for WaCA’s software segment.

My primary focus with ClearStar.net was creating ASP.NET front-end and graphical user interfaces, based on external and internal customer requirements, and customer training documentation. As the lead front-end designer, this position also required a primary role in the creation of print advertisements, marketing related websites, and the authoring and creation of other marketing materials based on requirements and requests by company management. Additional responsibilities included management of IIS Web Server, and email administration using Merak/Icewarp email servers. With ClearStar.net I also maintained responsibly for the final editing and approval of all website and marketing images and text used by ClearStar.net.

At John H. Harland, I led project management activities and supervised employees on multiple diverse teams throughout the full development lifecycle of over 20 releases of 5 different check ordering and customer service applications used by over 100 financial institutions and corporations, including First Union, Peachtree Software, and Microsoft/Great Plains. Tasks included direct interaction with senior executives both at the internal and client level in soliciting and documenting requirements, assisting in creation of marketing materials, orchestrating systems analysis and detailed design with senior architects, and managing the coding and QA efforts from initiation to production rollout.
