Born and raised in Edinburgh, working life began at 17 as a Motor Claims Handler for Bradford Pennine Insurance which provided an excellent introduction to General Insurance claims and liability investigations. Moved to Provincial Insurance in Edinburgh and later in Glasgow, dealing with motor and commercial claims including external investigation before becoming Provincial’s first Claims Inspector in Scotland. Moving to Leeds in 1993, I joined Eagle Star as a Commercial Claims Handler before becoming first a Liability Claims Controller and then Claims Inspector. Began Liability Loss Adjusting in 1997 with Crawford & Co in Leeds, becoming Leeds Branch Manager before leaving in 2003 to become a founder member of Sigma Claims Solutions. With Sigma, subsequent to their acquisition by Merlin Claims Ltd, I enjoyed both Branch and Regional Manager roles. In anticipation of Merlin’s entry into Administration, I blame the Property guys, I returned to Crawford & Co, first in Nottingham and then, from 2011, in Leeds as a Senior Liability Loss Adjuster. I joined Kudos as Branch Manager, opening their Leeds Branch, in September 2017. With 35 years’ experience in the Industry, I enjoy excellent client relations in both London and provincial markets based, primarily, upon respect earned through my work and expertise.
