Responsible for the correct operation and maintenance of machinery at state of the art biomass plant. Plant is at final stages of commissioning so every day is a new challenge. Plant utilises waste wood from the local area and converts this wood to gas using a gasification process. This gas is then used to power an indirect heat boiler to heat water and produce high pressure superheated steam. This in turn powers a turbine to drive a generator to produce 11Kv electricity to power local area industrial estate.Plant is fully self sustaining after initial start up and provides energy whilst helping the UK meet CO2 emission targets.
