About Brian Grenko
I help those who develop and/or finance solar power and energy storage projects to identify and mitigate technical risk. My scope of work typically includes reviews of project agreements, site evaluations & permits/approvals, system design and major equipment review, production estimation, and on-site inspection and testing activities during construction or commercial operation. My team and I also conduct technology reviews for new and leading equipment manufacturers and service providers.After starting my renewable energy career working for the pioneering solar panel manufacturer AstroPower (later acquired by GE), I moved to San Francisco to start up a regional sales and technical support center for Yingli Green Energy. As Yingli became the world’s largest solar panel manufacturer, I oversaw the development of an industry-leading research and development lab whose work later became the basis of a successful start-up focused on the evaluation and improvement of operating solar power generation facilities (Amplify Energy), which was later sold to global technical advisory firm DNV. I'm honored to have met and worked with so many of the talented people in our industry who share my vision of accelerating the deployment of renewable energy in order to combat the negative consequences of global climate change and leave our world in a better place than we found it.
